Mr. Andrés Sáez-Marrero joined Sepulvado, Maldonado & Couret as an Associate in January 2021. Prior to joining Sepulvado, Maldonado & Couret, Mr. Sáez-Marrero was a Junior Partner at Bellver Espinosa Law Firm. Prior to this, Mr. Sáez-Marrero was an Associate Attorney at Tromberg Law Group and Managing Attorney at Robertson, Anschutz & Schneid, PL. He also worked for several commercial litigation firms in San Juan.
While in law school, Mr. Sáez-Marrero served as an intern at the Office of the Solicitor General in the Puerto Rico Department of Justice; he also served as an intern at the Puerto Rico House of Representatives and at the José M. Berrocal Institute for Economics and Finance of the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico. During his years at law school, Mr. Sáez-Marrero worked as a law clerk at a private law firm, where he worked matters related to Torts and Mortgage Law.
Mr. Sáez-Marrero obtained a Bachelor’s in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico and has completed coursework toward an MPA in Fiscal and Financial Policy from the Graduate School of Public Administration, Roberto Sánchez Vilella. Mr. Sáez-Marrero also holds a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
Mr. Sáez-Marrero is admitted to practice before the courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. He is also a Notary Public.
Mr. Sáez-Marrero has key experience in civil litigation; wrote winning briefs before the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals and the Puerto Rico Supreme Court. Mr. Sáez-Marrero has effectively handled and argued cases before the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Court of First Instance.
