Mr. de Jesús-Maldonado joined Sepulvado, Maldonado & Couret as an associate in August 2023. Prior to joining the Firm, he assisted in commercial and complex litigation matters before the courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, as well as at various administrative agencies.
While pursuing his JD-MBA, Mr. de Jesús-Maldonado served as law clerk for multiple boutique law firms where he contributed to diverse legal matters and honed skills in commercial litigation, corporate, and government affairs. He also worked as Summer Associate at O’Neill & Borges, LLC in 2020.
During law school, Mr. de Jesús-Maldonado was part of the editorial body of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review’s 88th and 89th volumes. He served as graduate research fellow for the Center to Foster Innovation and Commercialization at the University of Puerto Rico and was appointed to the Center for the Advancement of Wearable Technologies —a multidisciplinary research initiative of the National Science Foundation— where he supported research groups on intellectual property and commercialization matters.
Mr. de Jesús-Maldonado holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, where he majored in Political Science. He obtained his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration, from the University of Puerto Rico where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2022. He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
